Portmeirion, where the cult televison series from the sixties was flmed, starring its producer Patrick McGoohan.Begun in 1925 and develpoed until 1976 by Clough Williams-Ellis who owned this private peninsular of Snowdonia. Portmeirion, the village in Gwynedd, North Wales that was used to film "The Prisoner" series (1967-8), starring Patrick McGoohan. It was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village.
